Obituary of Mark E. Keener

Mark Edward Keener, age 58, of Mansfield, PA, died Monday, March 12, 2007 in the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Mark was born on March 24, 1948 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Norval and Rebecca (Davis) Keener. Mark was formerly employed by Ward Manufacturing in Blossburg, PA and Ward Manufacturing ACP in Lawrenceville, PA. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Mark enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and his dogs Pete, Sabby and Cinnamon. Mark is survived by his wife, Betty (Lee) Keener of Mansfield, PA; a son, Mark Daniel Keener of Berlin, NJ, a step daughter Frances Snyder of Sayre, PA, three step grandchildren; three brothers, Kent Keener of Vineland, NJ, Larry Keener of Wellsboro, PA, and Paul Keener of Vineland, NJ. He is also survived by his father-in-law William Lee of Troy, PA, four brothers-in-law Robert Satterlee of Waterloo, NY, Lyle Satterlee of Millerton, PA, Billy (Jolie) Lee, Sayre, PA, Nathan (Diane) Lee of Troy, PA, sisters-in-law Audrey (Stan) Folk of Nichols, NY, Beatrice (Jack) Martin of Millerton, PA, Peggy Huber of Springfield, PA, Ruth Lee of Big Pond, PA, Arlene (Loren) Myers of Athens, PA, Minnie Lee of Erin, NY, Janice (Doug) Wilcox of North Carolina, and Cathy (Rick) Camacho of Addison, NY and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Mark was preceded in death by a special friend Bill VanNoy. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. to noon at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will immediately follow the viewing at noon at the funeral home.
