Obituary of Emma Mary Sokoly

Emma Mary Sokoly, age 91, of Liberty, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. She was born May 31, 1924 in Hamilton, PA, a daughter of Andrew and Beatrice (Brown) Corrinne. Emma was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wellsboro, PA. Emma was predeceased by her husband, William Albert Sokoly, Sr. in 2012. She loved sewing and doing Seek and Find puzzle books. Emma watched Price is Right and Let's Make A Deal every day. She enjoyed her afternoon naps and watching baseball. Emma loved her family and being a home maker. Emma is survived by 7 children; Randy (Brenda) Sokoly of Blossburg, PA, Audrey (Edward) Aikens of Clymer, PA, Elizabeth "Betty" Geneva of Indiana, PA, Willivene (Wayne) Miller of Indiana, PA, Linda (Harold) Berguson of Arnot, PA, Frances (Rex) Wood of FL, William A. Sokoly, Jr. of AZ; 17 grandchildren; 36 great gandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; special granddaughter, Lexie; special nephew, Andy; a brother, Vincent (Kate) Corrinne of Indiana, PA; a sister, Evelyn Lockard of Indiana, PA. She was predeceased by her parents, Beatrice and Andrew Corrinne; a brother, Anthony Corrinne, 2 sisters, Delores Corrinne and Anabelle Aloi. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. John J. Chmil whom she loved like a son. Burial will be in the Church of Resurrection in Clymer, PA.
