Obituary of Edward Michael Kentos

Edward Michael Kentos, Jr., 60, of Tioga, PA, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He was born July 1, 1955 in Bridgeport, CT, to Edward and Mary (Ayles) Kentos. Edward graduated from Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield, CT in 1974. He was employed as a truck driver for Trefz Corporation in Stratford, CT, until he retired in 2004. Edward loved old cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He was passionate about music, and loved playing in a band during his younger years. He was a genuine and caring man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Edward was always delighted to visit Lancaster, PA, where he found time to relax. He had a sense of humor that could make any person laugh and be happy about life. Edward is survived by his loving wife, Kelsie; a son and daughter-in-law, Corey (Natalie) Swanson; two daughters, Erin Marie Kentos and Brittany Lynne (Kyle Vanskiver) Kentos; three grandchildren, Madison, Aurora, and Nicolo Swanson; his mother, Mary (Ayles) Kentos, and one sister, Kathleen Kentos. Edward is also survived by his in-laws, Kelsey and Cleone Carleton; two sisters-in-law, Tracie (Paul Hulbert) Carleton, and Dia Carleton; one brother-in-law, Rodney Carleton; and two nephews, Wesley and Sawyer Carleton. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Edward Michael Kentos, Sr. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Puma. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. John Shypulfeski officiating.
