Obituary of Ella Enid Jacobson

Ella Jacobson, age 100, of Tioga, PA, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Ella was born September 6, 1906 in Lindley, NY, a daughter of Charles Wesley and Edna Mary (Burgett) Felker. She was the owner and operator of the Mill Creek Inn and the Taylor Hotel, Lawrenceville, PA before her retirement. She was a member of the Tioga Ambulance Association. Ella is survived by a granddaughter, Susan (Keith) Bly of Tioga, PA; a grandson, Barry (Brenda) Bates of Tioga, PA; eight great grandchildren, Miranda Kurzejewski, Tanya Carpenter, Gary Bates, Ryan Bates, Fawn Boldgett, Danielle Bly, Saira Bly, Travis Bly; five great great grandchildren, Joel Bates, Brett Bates, Emily Bates, Cade Kurzejewski Taylor Bates; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Evelyn Comfort, Becky Butcher. She was predeceased by a son, Richard E. Bates on January 12, 1983; two brothers and six sisters. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 from 10 A.M. to Noon at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga, PA.
