Obituary of Corey Adam Starkweather

Corey Adam Starkweather, age 26, of Wellsboro, PA died unexpectedly Saturday, May 21, 2016. He was born February 3, 1990 in Wellsboro, PA a son of Alvin J. and Catherine (Goodwin) Starkweather. Corey worked as a tree trimmer for Jaflo Tree Care Center in Allentown, PA. He was a member of the Moose International Lodge 1147 of Wellsboro, the I.B.E.W. and the Wellsboro Veterans Club. Corey was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting with his brother, and fishing with his father. Corey is survived by his parents, Alvin J. Starkweather (Inge) of Wellsboro; his mother, Catherine "Katy" Starkweather of Wellsboro; 2 brothers, Alvin "Luther" Starkweather of Blossburg, PA, Justin Bell of Auburn, NY; 2 sisters, Melissa (Shaun) Thomas of Mansfield, PA, and Sierra Starkweather of Wellsboro, PA; maternal grandfather, Duane Goodwin of Wellsboro; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Starkweather of Wellsboro; 4 nieces, Kassandra, Destiny, Lily and Desiree; 1 nephew, Aaden; his girlfriend, Kelsey Swan of Wellsboro; aunts, uncles and cousins; 3 best friends, Jarrett Stone and Josh Krout of Wellsboro; Robert Hurd "R.J." of Rochester, NY. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Jeff McCleary officiating.
