Obituary of Louise L. Smyth

Louise L. Smyth, age 78, of Mansfield, PA, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016. She was born January 24, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of Clarence and Louise (Stutz) Goldey. Louise was the wife of Alfred Howard Smyth, Jr. with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage. She worked as Tioga County Chief Assessor for many years and was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church. Louise enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and girls weekend. Surviving besides her husband, Alfred, are 3 daughters and sons-in-law, LouAnn and Joseph Woodruff of Wellsboro, PA, Ruth and Kevin Hungerford, and Deborah and Jay Kamerer both of Covington; 7 grandchildren, Christopher (Mary Ellen), Steven, Stacey, Zeb, Wes, Jason (Erin) and Joshua (Whitney); 2 great grandchildren, Allie and Mason; numerous nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Regina (Fred) Santa Maria of Bristol, PA. She was predeceased by a son, Alfred H. Smyth III in 1979, a brother, Robert Goldey, and sisters, Florence and Jean. Funeral services will be private at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Burial will be in Whitneyville Cemetery, Whitneyville, PA.
