Obituary of Barbara K. Simcoe

Barbara Simcoe, age 75, formerly of Troy, PA, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was born June 6, 1941 in Elmira, NY, a daughter of Benjamin and Florence (Manley) Greene. Barbara was employed by Troy Law Offices as a Title Searcher; J. C. Penney's, and was a child care provider before she retired. She was a member of the Troy Baptist Church, 2-yr president of a square dance club, Cub Scout leader, and enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, chrocheting, knitting, snowmobiling and camping with friends and famiy. Barbara is survived by a son, Eric (Pamela) Simcoe of Gillett, PA; a daughter, Robin Regester of Mansfield, PA; 4 grandchildren, Eric B. Simcoe of Westmoreland TN, Casey Root of Mansfield, PA, Benjamin Regester of Langley USAF Base, Langley VA, Nittanee Regester of Mansfield, PA; a sister, Lorna (Larry Nuss) Craley of Leesburg FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend Paul Machmer, currnt resident of Twin Oaks. She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Jack A. Simcoe in July, 2010 A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church, 579 Canton Street, Troy, PA. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church or Twin Oaks Personal Care Home, 1100 Cowley Rd., Granville Summitt, PA 16926 in Barbara's memory.
