Obituary of Milford G. Heater, Jr.

Milford G. Heater, Jr., age 87, of Lawrenceville, PA, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 3, 1928 in Canton, PA, a son of Milford G. Sr. and Ellen (Merrick) Heater. Milford was married to Jeanette (Douglas) Heater for 69 years. He was a lifetime farmer and was employed at Corning Glass for 11 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Milford is survived by his wife, Jeanette; 2 sons, Dearl (Martha) of Horseheads, NY and Larry (Lois) of Lawrenceville, PA; daughters, Ellen Knickerbocker of Tioga, PA, Loretta (Howard) Easton of Addison, NY, Brenda (Mike) Thomas of Lawrenceville, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Wilford and Nancy Heater of Millerton, PA; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Richard Baker of Lawrenceville, PA, Velma Bailey of Troy, PA, Ruth Powlison of Mansfield, PA, Janet and Randy Tripp of Millerton, PA; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jodi S. Knickerbocker in 2004; sisters, Erma Mitchell, Bernice Heck, Sherry Miller, and Joyce Heater. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to Noon at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral service will follow at the funeral chapel at Noon on Wednesday with Pastor Debbie Button officiating.
