Obituary of Dennis E. McKay

Dennis E. McKay, age 66, of Elmira, NY passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was the husband of Joan M. (Spicer) McKay. He was born on August 12, 1950 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Ernest and Helen (Makely) McKay. He had been an employee of Kennedy Valve in Elmira, NY. His favorite hobbies were woodworking, hiking and hunting. Dennis is survived by his wife, Joan, of Elmira, NY; his mother, Helen McKay of Mansfield, PA,; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle (Tom) Reese of Roseville, PA, Cindy (Dave Alexander) McKay of Ebensburg, PA; two step-daughters and sons in-law, Amberlyn (Philip Hayes) Paul and Tiffany Paul, all of Elmira, NY; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth (India) Weller of Elmira, NY; 13 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; three brothers and sisters- in-law, Dean (Joyce) McKay of Elmira, NY, Dale (Carol) McKay and Donnie (Ginger) McKay all of Roseville, PA; 5 sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawn (Jim) Hale of Omaha, NE, Belva Jayne of Roseville, PA, Sue (Kim) Koval of Roseville, PA, Bernice (Charlie) Winnie of Elmira, NY, Beatrice (Raymond) Wood of Gillett, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father; a sister, Connie Wright; and a nephew, Dale McKay, Jr. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral chapel with Rev. Kenneth Marple officiating. Burial will be in Roseville Cemetery.
