Obituary of Florence N. Smith

Florence N. Smith, age 92, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Sunday, June 17, 2007 in Broad Acres Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Florence was born on July 16, 1914 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of Leland R. and Sarah (Derbyshire) Smith. Florence was formerly employed by Corning Glass and served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. Florence is survived by a sister, Emma Shaw, a brother, Leland Smith, both of Wellsboro, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Freeman, Lillian Smith and a brother, Waldo P. Smith. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Wellsboro Cemetery, Nichols St., Wellsboro, PA, with Rev. Gregory Hinton officiating.
