Obituary of Irene R. Frey

Irene R. Frey, age 88, of Blossburg, PA, died Monday, January 2, 2017 at Carleton Care Home, Wellsboro, PA. She was born November 9, 1928 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Ferdinand and Rose (Kordyl) Bogaczyk. Irene was the wife of the late Dean E. Frey who passed away on February 22, 2015 after 41 years of marriage. She was an avid bowler in her earlier years, loved playing bingo and could be found many Monday nights working at St. Mary's in Blossburg and playing bingo. Irene worked at a University in Canada for 20 years. She was a moulder at Ward Foundry in Blossburg for many years. Irene was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a member of Holy Child Catholic Church and the Hillside Rod and Gun Club. Irene is survived by 2 children; Stanley R. (Linda) Levandoski of St. Louis, MO, Linda (Robert) Nowak of Mansfield, PA; 2 step-daughters, Carol (Frey) Roupp, Nancy (Frey) Way; survived by 7 siblings, Andrew and Paul Bogaczyk; Lottie Nelcoski, Pauline Plank, Rosemary Adams, JoAnn Gutshall, Diane Wood; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews who were all very dear to her. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Veronica Wojcik and Julia McKerrow; brothers, Richard and Fred Bogaczyk. Family and friends are invited to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Granger St., Blossburg, PA on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. for a Memorial Mass with Rev. Bryan Wright as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Blossburg, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Granger St., Blossburg, PA or St. Paul's UCC, 5th and Main St., Gerald, MO 63037. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
