Obituary of Louis R. Beach

Louis R. Beach, age 89, of Troy, PA, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Bath VA Hospital, Bath, NY. He was born September 22, 1927, in Elmira, NY, a son of Raymond J. and Cleo (Phelps) Beach. Louis is survived by his wife, Velma (Watson) Beach. He worked as a welder for American Bridge in Elmira, NY before he retired. Louis was a Navy veteran of WWII. He enjoyed reading, camping, animals and word search puzzles. In addition to his wife, Louis is survived by a son, Douglas (Karen) Beach of Columbia Cross Roads, PA; 3 daughters, Connie Beers of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Deborah Eighmey of Vero Beach, Florida, Cindy Oldroyd of Gillett, PA; daughter-in-law, Naomi Roy of Gillett, PA; 2 step-sons, Darrell Roy of Gillett, PA, Dean (Linda) Roy of Utah; a step-daughter, Denise (Jay) Malin of Virginia; a brother, Bob (Doranda) Bieri of Lawrenceville, PA; a sister-in-law, Julia Beach of Troy, PA; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Donald Beach, Bob Beach;a sister-in-law, Virginia, a son-in-law, Larry Eighmey, and a step-son, Dan Roy. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jay Zaremba officiating. Burial will be in the Checkerville Cemetery, Gillett, PA.
