Obituary of Roberta J. Lappa

Roberta J. Lappa, age 82, of Painted Post, NY, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was born October 7, 1934 in Gaines, PA, a daughter of Walter and Daisy (Ronalder) Hurlbert. Roberta was employed by the Northern Tioga School District as a school bus driver for 39 years. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and gambling. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Louis Frederick Lappa. Roberta is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Lappa of Lawrenceville, PA, John and Trina Lappa of Wellsboro, PA; a daughter, Sharon Lappa of Wyalusing, PA; 4 grandchildren, Mitch (Lindsey) Bliss, Cody O'Dell, Ryan O'Dell and Trace Lappa; 1 great grandson, Porter Bliss; a sister, Charlotte Bump of Wellsboro, PA. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis; a brother, Charles H. Hurlbert; infant, Kelly Lynn Lappa in 1964; 2 brothers, Ronald Hurlbert and Walter Hurlbert, Jr.; 3 sisters, Clara Greene, Edith French and Mary Valentine. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in Lick Run Cemetery.
