Obituary of Wilma Dawson

Wilma Dawson, age 79, of Mansfield, PA, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home. She was born August 4, 1938 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Lyle and Callie (Ingalls) Erway. Wilma was the widow of Frank J. Dawson who passed away in 2010. She enjoyed raising kids. Wilma was a member of the Cherry Flats Baptist Church, taught Sunday school and tended the church nursery. Wilma is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Tammie of Mansfield, Bruce and Mary of Mansfield, Bob and Angela of Covington; 2 daughters, Amy (Tim Mays) Dawson of Marion, SC, Alison Shelman of Arnot, PA; 2 brothers, Ivan B. (Kay) Erway of Mansfield, PA, Lyleton (Shirley) Erway of Millerton, PA; 4 sisters, Vietta Scaife of Keene, NY, Sylvia Dillbech of Vista, CA, Callie (Lyell) Drake of Lyndonville, NY, Katie (Leon II) Freeman of Enoree, SC; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; special friends; Kathie and Harold Frost of Mansfield, Brenda (Mike) Copp of Mansfield, and Kenny Dawson of Elmira, NY. She was predeceased by her husband; a son, Brian Dawson in 1986, James Scaife in 2016, and Harold Dillbech. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the Cherry Flats Baptist Church, 2291 Cherry Flats Rd., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shumway Hill Cemetery. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
