Obituary of Clifford J. DeBlois

Clifford J. DeBlois, age 68, of Wellsboro, PA, died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Clifford was born on July 8, 1939 in Trenton, NJ, a son of Samuel C. and Leola McHale DeBlois. He was the husband of the late Jean S. (Roellig) DeBlois. Clifford retired after 20 years as a security officer for the NJ Department of Transportation. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Cuban missile crisis. He enjoyed spending time at the Wellsboro Senior Center. Clifford is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David C. and Darla DeBlois of Wellsboro, PA; a daughter, Karen H. DeBlois of Upper Darby, PA; four grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Charcolla of Renova, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean, and a brother, Ulrich DeBlois. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Cliffords memory to the Wellsboro Senior Center, 3 Queen St., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
