Obituary of Margaret E. Greene

Margaret E. Greene, age 88, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Monday, November 19, 2007 in Broad Acres Health & Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Margaret was born on July 4, 1919 in Easton, PA, the daughter of Charles W. and Florence (Wilson) Keiper. She was married to the late Samuel Greene, Jr. Margaret was formerly employed as a factory worker for American Can and Silk Mills (making parachutes during WWII) in Easton, PA, and as a waitress at Key City Diner in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was member of the First Baptist Church, Mansfield, PA. Margaret enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks, fishing, camping and snowmobiling. Margaret is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel A. and Susan L. Greene, III of Mansfield, PA; one grandson, Jason H. Greene of Mansfield, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Samuel, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Keiper. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the North Hampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Road, Easton, PA.
