Obituary of Gale Fields

Gale "Freddy" Fields, age 78, of Bernville, PA and formerly of Lawrence Corners, PA, died Friday, April 14, 2014 at Penny's home. Gale was born on August 11, 1938 in Blossburg, PA, a son of Colie B. and Ethel M. (Smith) Fields. He lived at the Laurel Center in Hamburg, PA for a short time. Gale was a farm hand for many farms in the area. Gale is survived by a niece, Joyce (Dale) Howey of Wellsboro, PA; his second family, Penny and David Cushing and their family of Bernville, PA, niece, Lacey; nephew, D.J. and many friends. Gale was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerald (Marie) Cummings, Daryl Fields; nieces, Linda Lee Cummings; Anna Marie Howey, Lorena Kay and Eileen May Cummings, and his second parents, Arnold and Lorraine Cushing. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Darwin "Tink" Cranmer officiating. Burial will be in Roseville Cemetery. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
