Obituary of Florence M. Alexander

Florence M. Alexander, age 89, of Millerton, PA, died Friday, July 13, 2018 at her home. She was born November 14, 1928 in Montour Falls, NY, a daughter of Arthur and Helen (Palmer) West. Florence was the wife of the late Maynard Alexander who passed away in 1995, and her first husband, Daniel Bentley who passed away in 2011. She was a member of the Jackson Center United Methodist Church. Florence enjoyed working on puzzle books, playing cards, and spending time at the Millerton Senior Center. Florence is survived by 3 sons and daughter's-in-law, Arthur Cecil and Roxann Bentley of Big Flats, NY, Daniel Paul and Ruby Bentley of Tioga, PA, Charles Maynard Alexander of Millerton, PA; 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ann and Frank Horvath of Tioga, PA, Janet Marie Gardner of Osceola, PA, Mary Jane Wheeler of Horseheads, NY, Bonnie Isabelle and Darrell Thomas of Millerton, PA, and Barbara Helen and Mark Hamilton of Millerton, PA; a sister, Thelma Kaminski of Elmira, NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, a daughter, Sally Ann Bentley, and a son, George Edward Bentley. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Jennifer Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Jobs Corners Cemetery.
