Obituary of Helen E. McKay

Helen McKay, age 98, of Roseville, PA, passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 27, 2018. She was born April 23, 1920, a daughter of Archie and Velma Elizabeth (Button) Makeley. Helen was the widow of Ernest McKay who died November 1985. Helen was a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church and the Ladies Fellowship. She enjoyed embroidery, bird watching and Cubs Baseball. Helen is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Carol McKay, Sr. of Roseville, Dean and Joyce McKay of Elmira, NY, and Donnie and Ginger McKay of Roseville; 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Bernice and Charles Winnie of Elmira, NY, Beatrice Wood of Gillett, Dawn and Jim Hale of LaVista, NE, Belva Jayne of Roseville, PA, Sue and Kim Koval of Roseville, PA; a daughter-in-law, Joan McKay of Elmira, NY; son-in-law, Jim Wright; 22 grandchildren; 83 great and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Helen was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Wright on December 18, 2000; a son, Dennis McKay in 2016; a grandson, Dale McKay, Jr.; a great grandson, Michael Dalton; a great granddaughter, Jessica Reese; 5 sons-in-law, Raymond Wood, Theodore Jayne, Cliff Johns, Dick Johnston, John Griffiths, daughter-in-law, Gloria McKay. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Kenneth Marple officiating. Burial will be in Roseville Community Cemetery.
