Obituary of Edward T. Tanner

Edward T. "Sonny" Tanner, age 72 of Tioga, PA, passed away peacefully at home Friday, November 23rd, 2018 surrounded by dear family and friends. He was born September 2nd, 1946 to Edward and Edith Tanner. As a proud Vietnam Veteran, Sonny lived for the Army. He loved to hunt, fish, play cards and spend time with loved ones. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0945 in Tioga, PA and the N.R.A. Edward is survived by his son, Edward T. Tanner, Jr.; sisters, Betty Decker, Laura (Melvin) Cummings, Katherine (Dale Ferger, Ossie Slusser, Bonnie (Greg) Kindall, and a brother, Michael (Gail) Tanner; several nieces and nephews. Sonny was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan Tanner; both parents, Edward and Edith Tanner, as well as a sister, Dolores Tanner. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A celebration of life will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Military Honors.
