Obituary of Donald Robert Payne

Donald Robert Payne Sr., age 80, passed away at his home in Blossburg, PA on January 9, 2019. He was born on December 23, 1938 and worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, and fishing and was member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Club and the American Legion Morris Run Post #167. Donald is survived by his children Deborah (Tim Whitney) Peffer of Jessup, GA, Donald R. (Wynk) Payne of Bellview, NE, Douglas (Paul) Coles-Payne of Miami Beach, FL, Cheryl Kreger of New Smyrna, FL, Julie Sherman of Wellsboro, PA; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister Alverta Kriner of Covington, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, one sister, and Carol Knable in 2016, his longtime girlfriend whom he took care of until she passed away. A celebration of life will be held at the Church of Christ, 2225 N Williamson Rd, Covington, PA on Saturday January 12, 2019, at 1PM. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S.
