Obituary of Iva Townsend

Iva "Tillie" Townsend, age 74, of Mainesburg, PA, passed away on January 24, 2019 at Troy Community Hospital, Troy, PA. Born on May 1, 1944 in Wellsboro, PA, Iva was the daughter of Ivan and Susie (Gee) Freeman. She enjoyed collecting dolls, crocheting, camping, and riding motorcycle. She was an avid shopper who loved her dogs and her family. On February 12, 2019, she would have celebrated 47 years of marriage to her husband, Ronald Townsend. Iva is survived by her husband Ronald; son Tom (Wendy) Carson of Mainesburg, PA; daughters Penny Wedd of Corning, NY and Michele (Jack) Perry of Lawrenceville, PA; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; sisters Patricia (Don) Hackman of Ulysses, PA and Joanne Preble of Middlebury Center, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
