Obituary of Anne E. Seidel

Anne Elizabeth (Sozzi) Seidel, age 69, of Mansfield, PA, died on Friday, November 7, 2008 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was born in Cooperstown, NY, on May 3, 1939 the daughter of the late John and Emma (Willsey) Sozzi. She graduated with a BS in Biology and a specialization in Medical Technology from Lycoming College in 1961. Later she received her nursing degree from St. Josephs Hospital in 1983. She worked as a critical care nurse in the intensive care unit at Corning Community Hospital, Corning, NY and more recently as a nurse for Laurel Health Home Healthcare of Wellsboro, PA. Anne is survived by her children, Gregory Scott (Karen) Seidel, of Montoursville, PA, Pamela Kirsten Knapp of Trout Run, PA, Geoffery J. S. Seidel (Kelly) of Gulf Port Shores, MS, former husband, Dr. Charles F. Seidel of Cogan Station, PA, the following grandchildren: Kirsten Anne Aldrich of Trout Run, Zachary Seidel and Jeffrey Pautz, Montoursville, PA, her many close friends that she considered part of her family and her feline companions, Lacey and Winkie. She is predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Nicky and Peter Gardiner. Anne in her younger years enjoyed spending time on Lake Otsego at Cooperstown, NY with her father. She enjoyed many outdoor activities, such as skiing, golf, gardening, camping, spending time at the ocean, exploring unusual places, shopping, reading, collecting toys and most of all, spending time with her family. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory and Monuments, PC, 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours on Thursday at Noon at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert Strozyk officiating.
