Obituary of Olin E. Cook

Olin E. Cook, age 93, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his home. He was born on October 23, 1926 in Tunkhannock, PA, a son of Mark and Delia (Derby) Cook. Olin was married to Martha (Messersmith) Cook. They celebrated 73 years of marriage on January 25, 2020. He worked for Penelec as a meter supervisor. Olin enjoyed antique cars and tractors. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Olin is survived by his wife; two sons, Olin (Linda) Cook of Mansfield, and Robert Cook of New Paltz, NY; four grandchildren, William, Daniel, Julie, and Sarah; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Donald and Lloyd; and two sisters, Helen Messersmith and Doris Dibble. A private burial will take place in Bradford County Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA.
