Obituary of Miriam Lucy Hanes

Miriam Lucy (Clark) Hanes, age 85, of Lawrenceville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport. She was born on September 15, 1934. Miriam was married to Harry Theodore Hanes for 66 years. Harry passed away on March 30, 2020. She was a member of the West Mansfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, having been baptized for 75 years. She loved the ministry, including participating in the pioneer service for several years. Miriam is survived by her sons, Lynn (Cathy) Hanes of Asheboro, NC, Thomas (Lori) Hanes of Parkesburg, PA, and Nathan (Priscilla) Hanes of Belmont, NY; a daughter, Katrina Hanes of Lawrenceville, PA; four grandchildren, Matthew Hanes of Greensboro, NC, Heatherlyn Hoos of Waverly, NY, Donald Hanes, Jr. of Horseheads, NY and Alyssa Hanes of Parkesburg, PA; two great-grandsons, Gavin and Ander Hoos; One step great-grandson Michael Graham; two great-granddaughters, Kaylee and Sydneymae Hanes; and a sister, Mary Hannah (David) Morris of Inez, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin and Miriam Adelia (Bedient) Clark; her husband, Harry Theodore; a son, Donald Hanes; and three brothers, Homer Clark, Douglas Clark, and Daniel Clark. A memorial service via Zoom will be held for both Harry and Lucy on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 6:00 PM.
