Obituary of Robert J. Dyer

Robert J. "Duffy" Dyer, age 80, of Mansfield, PA, passed peacefully away at his home on Saturday, May 22, 2021. He was born on May 2, 1941 in Oneonta, NY, a son of Nayham and Almireta (Boyes) Dyer. Duffy drove truck for 55 years, was a bartender at the VFW Post 6757, as well as a life-long member of DADS "Dads of Foreign Service Veterans". He loved going camping and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and family. Duffy is survived by his wife, Robin Dyer; sons, Robert Dyer, Jr. of Mansfield, PA, David (Tanya) Dyer of Mansfield, PA, George Dyer of Lawrenceville, PA, Charles (Samantha) Aumick of Liberty, PA, Rexford (Jess) Aumick of Covington, PA; daughters, Pamela Jenkins of Mansfield, PA, Michealle (Jim) Cole of Burlington Flats, NY, Marlene (DJ) Reed of Stamford, NY, Mary (Tim) Townsley of Woodhull, NY, Penny Dyer of Mount Vision, NY, Tonia Dyer of SC, Jackie Blackwell of Jacksonville, FL, Fawnlynne (Matt) Blazure of Easton, PA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Janet Cody and Joyce Wright; son-in-law Gary Jenkins; two grandsons Cody Jenkins and Kristian Bostic. Friends and family are invited to call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27 at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 6757, 1208 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery in Mansfield, PA.
