Obituary of Frank J. Purtell

Frank J. Purtell, Jr., age 78, of Covington, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Bradford County Manor in Troy, PA. He was born on March 25, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Frank and Margaret (Linvell) Purtell, Sr. Frank worked as a carpenter for Union Carpenter and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam. He was a proud member of the Covington Sportsmen's Club and Whispering Pine Cap & Flint Club. Frank is survived by his sons, Frank (Leslie) Purtell III of Magnolia, DE, and James (Megan) Purtell of Lansdale, PA; and three grandchildren, Jack Ryan Purtell, Aaron Purtell, and Arieona Jolie. He was preceded in death by his parents. In honoring Frank's wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Whispering Pine Cap & Flint Club in care of Larry McKnight 11 Canada Rd. Covington, PA 16917. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family. Burial will take place in Bath National Cemetery in Bath, NY.
