Obituary of Hazel Elma Brooks

Hazel Elma Brooks, age 85, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on August 3, 1936, in Elmira, NY, a daughter of William J. and Genevieve M. (Rossman) Carnright. Hazel was the wife of the late Joseph Brooks, who passed away in 1985. She and her husband enjoyed farming in Covington, PA. Hazel was a member of the Covington Church of Christ and worked as a school bus driver. She enjoyed traveling. Hazel is survived by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Warren Carnright and sisters, Wilma Schucker, Virginia Carnright, Joyce Phippen, and Connie Bliss. In keeping with Hazel's wishes, there will be no services. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
