Obituary of Kenneth "Benedict" Garrison

Kenneth Ben Garrison, age 95, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Carleton Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on October 27, 1925 in Mansfield, PA, a son of Merle and Genevieve (Benedict) Garrison. Ben was married to the late Lois (York) Garrison who passed away on April 4, 2021. He owned and operated Garrison's Men Shop in Mansfield and was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during WWII. Ben was a member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood carving and reading. Ben is survived by his son, Merle Benedict "Dick" (Mona) Garrison of Mansfield, PA; two daughters, Elizabeth (Howard Raskin) Garrison of FL, and Cynthia (Jack) Beideman of Morris, PA; two granddaughters, Megan and Paige; and four great grandchildren, Adelaid, Kesslyn, Rhett, and Orrin; and a sister, Anne Calkins of Mansfield, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife; and a brother, Lewis Garrison. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church 67 E. Wellsboro St. Mansfield, PA with Pastor Ed Nelson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
