Obituary of Carol Brooks

Carol Brooks, age 65, of Ogdensburg, PA, passed into the presence of Jesus on October 24, 2021. She was born Carol Virginia Jackson on June 12, 1956, in Blossburg, PA, to George and Virginia (Payne) Jackson, also of Ogdensburg. She is survived by her loving husband, James; her children, Christopher Brooks and Ryan (Jamie) Brooks; her grandchildren, Evan and Avery; her siblings, Elaine (Gary Shay) Foust and Dennis Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both of her parents. Carol was the youngest of three children, and, with the exception of Jim's brief time of military service, spent her whole life living on her family's farm. She loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family. She had a great appreciation for the beauty of nature and a kind and generous heart. She worked in retail (Ames, Shanley's), as a bus driver, and at factories (Eureka, Ward Manufacturing). She was even named the Mayor of Ogdensburg once!
