Obituary of Joyce Ann Barnes

Joyce Ann Barnes, age 67, of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 14, 1954 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Gerald and Agnes (Kelly) Barnes. Joyce worked in food service at Mansfield University and was the president of Riverside Park Apartments in Blossburg. She enjoyed playing games, puzzles, bingo, cards, getting her nails painted, and getting pictures from her "little buddy" Emily. Joyce loved spending time with friends, drinking coffee, and watching TV. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Breanné Barnes of Manheim, PA; a son, John Bednar of Alexandria, VA; a best friend, Debbie Honess of Spencer, NY; special friends, Sahvana and Cheyanne Flaherty, and Emily and Mason Weber of Mansfield, PA; and a special neighbor, Iris;. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rosemary Barnes; and two brothers, Gerald Barnes, Jr., and Ralph Barnes. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 2pm.
