Obituary of Marlene S. Parthemer

Marlene S. Parthemer, age 68, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on June 4, 1953 in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of James and Bernice McGurl. Marlene enjoyed writing. Marlene is survived by her sons, Troy (Kala) Wood of Cato, NY, Harley Wood of Rochester, NY, and Harvey (Bobbi) Wood of Mansfield, PA; thirteen grandchildren, Allison (Chance) Rodriquez, Brett Wood, Wade Wood, Harlee Wood, Damon Wood, Dominick Wood, Derick Wood, Ryan Wood, Sarah (Austin) Toothaker, Harvey (Emily) Wood, Kyle (Amanda) Wood, Emily Wood, and Blake Wood; fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Utegg of TN; and a special niece, Brenda Mortimer and her sons, Jake and Seth of Tioga, PA . She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Joyce, and Judy; and a brother, Robert. A memorial service will be announced in the spring.
