Obituary of Esther L. Adams

Esther L. Adams, age 82, of Mansfield, PA, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. Esther was born November 25, 1925 in Granville Summit, PA, a daughter of Allen and Cora (Case) Walborn. She was the loving and devoted wife of Louis M. Adams. Louis and Esther celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on May 23, 2007. She was a member of Canoe Camp Church of Christ Disciples; VFW #8730 Blossburg Auxiliary, the American Legion, did volunteer work for the American Cancer Society, and Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. Esther is a retiree from Ward Manufacturing. Esther was a very compassionate and caring mother, grandmother and friend, survived by her husband, Louis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis S. and Connie Adams of Tioga, PA, and Philip A. and Eunice Marie Adams of Mansfield, PA; six grandchildren, Nisa and Lynn Kshir, Jamey and Karen Dunkleberger, Julie Adams, and Danielle Adams; six great grandchildren, Benjamin, Sean, Mariah, Allison, Alexia, and Matthew She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters, Lillian, Laura, Eunice, Hazel, Lula, Katie, Edna, Lawrence, Leon and Louis. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 7, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. David E. Blowers officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Charleston Twp., Mansfield, PA. Memorial donations may be made to Breast Cancer Research, Walker Cancer Research Institute, Inc., 18 N.
