Obituary of Robert B. Kilmer

Robert B. "Bob" "Steppy" Kilmer, age 77, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the UPMC Williamsport hospital. He was born on October 26, 1944, in Jamestown, NY, a son of Alba Bernard Kilmer and Anna M. (Gellitt) Kilmer Goodnoe. Bob was the husband of the late Joan Kilmer. He was an active volunteer firefighter while he lived in Bolivar, NY, then worked at Ward Manufacturing in Blossburg for over 30 years, as well as at Eddie's Truck Stop in Mansfield, PA, for many years. Bob was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Caton, NY, the American Legion in Morris Run, PA, and a long-time member of the Hillside Rod and Gun club and the Arnot sportsmen's club where he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He and Letitia liked attending basketball, softball, and baseball games, traveling to visit family and friends, spending time with Tish's family, and just enjoying life in general. Bob was an avid fan of football and loved the Pittsburg Steelers. He loved laughing, hunting, and fishing. Bob is survived by his long-time fiancée Letitia A. Ward; a son, Mark (Jodi) Kilmer of Elysburg, PA; stepson, Robert Pierce of Draper, PA; stepdaughter, Susan Salgado of Jamestown, NY; grandsons Adam and Ryan Kilmer; step granddaughters, Misty Wilson and Jennifer Steinback; Letitia's children Paula (Gary) Dean of Woodhull, NY; Rexford (Anna) Ward of Bath NY; Cecil (Cindy) Ward of Oklahoma; Ella (Robert) Cady of Beaver Dams, NY; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Mary A. Stockwell and Priscilla S. Lyrett; nephews, Arthur L. Smith, Randy (Anglua) Smith, Einy Smith, and Nicholas (Erin) Langworth; niece Madeline Lyrett. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; stepfather, Arthur O. Goodnoe; brother Jerry W. Kilmer. In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place in Bolivar, NY, at a later date. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
