Obituary of Douglas W. English

Douglas W. English, age 78, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was born on April 7, 1943, in Blossburg, PA, a son of Leonard and Blanche (Whitney) English. Douglas was the husband of Judith "Judy" (Sheaffer) English. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Fisher Mines in English Center, PA, and enjoyed riding his trike. Douglas is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Chad (Michelle) English of Cherry Flats, PA; grandchildren, Skylar and Chelsea English, and Elijah Button; great grandchildren, Kaden Maguire, and Lexus, Carter and Raelynn Smith; sisters, Gayle Belangia and Brenda Nittinger. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott English in 1980, and sisters, Linda Cheyney and Tammy English. Friends and family are invited to call from 1-2 P.M. on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Memorial donations may be made in Douglas' name to the National Rifle Association of America, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.
