Obituary of Marie A. Bruce

Marie A. (Hughes) Fleming Bruce, age 95, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022. She was born on October 17, 1926 in Tioga, PA, a daughter of Alfred and Angie (Colegrove) Hughes. Marie was married to the late Thomas Bruce who passed away on March 25, 2007. She was a cook for Northern Tioga School District and was a secretary for DTB Dairy in Tioga. Marie was a member of East Lawrence Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Marie is survived by a son, Michael (Ruth) Fleming of Millerton, PA; a daughter, Sally Gee of Lawrenceville, PA; five grandchildren, Susette Gee, Roger (Virginia) Gee, Eugene (Rebecca) Fleming, Mark Plumley, and Dennis Plumley; ten great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; a sister, June (Merle) Preston of Lawrenceville, PA; and four sisters-in-law, Gretchen Hughes of Tioga, PA, Janet Wales of Millerton, PA, Jewel Bruce of Tioga, PA, and Linda Cicero of S. Ozone, NY. She was preceded in death by first husband, Eugene Fleming on July 12, 1965; six brothers and sisters, George, Harvey, Alfred Jr., Victor, Wanda Vargeson, and Pat Sweeley. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 1pm-7pm at Sally Gee's House 858 Croft Hill Rd. Lawrenceville, PA 16929. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2pm at Sally's residence with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Tioga, PA.
