Obituary of Linda L. Root

Linda L. Root, age 73, of Millerton, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 1, 1949 in Elmira, NY, a daughter of Allen C. and Elizabeth (Tillinghast) Collum. Linda was married to Gary P. Root. She worked in banking for over 30 years and was the secretary for Jackson Township Municipal Authority. Linda was a member of the Millerton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband; three sons, Jason (Rachael) Root of West Palm, FL, Jeffrey (Tammy) Root of Lawrence Twp., PA, and Anthony (Casey) Root of Millerton, PA; four grandchildren, Xander, Nicholas, Emily, and Jasmine; and three sisters, Sandra Gilbert of Millerton, PA, Constance (Daniel) Heyler of Westfield, PA, Lois (Scott) Wood of Tioga, PA. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 12pm-1pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 1pm. Burial will take place in Alder Run Cemetery in Millerton, PA.
