Obituary of Beatrice E. Mitchell

Beatrice E. Mitchell, age 78, of Covington, PA, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family. Beatrice was the wife of Carl Mitchell with whom she would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on June 22nd. Beatrice was born July 21, 1929 in Covington, PA, a daughter of Edson and Velma (Hilfiger) Baity. She was a member of the Bakerburg Community Church. Beatrice enjoyed spending time with her family, picnics, taking rides in the mountains, baking, and flowers. Beatrice is survived by her husband, Carl, two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ronda Mitchell of Mansfield, PA, Jonathan and Carey Mitchell of Mansfield, PA; two daughters and a sons-in-law, Charlene and Walter Sampson of Wellsboro, PA, Cheryl and Guy Martin of Mansfield, PA; 7 grandchildren Samantha Graham, Julie Owlett, Kimberly Butler, Matthew Sampson, Jeff Martin, Nathen Martin, Kassandra Mitchell, and great grandchildren Abigail Owlett, Cameron Owlett, Mackenzi Graham, Ashley Graham, Lasey Graham, a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Bill Gardner of Enola, PA. Beatrice was preceded in death by two brothers Dean and Gordon Baity and a sister Kay Glidewell. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 P.M. and Friday, June 13, 2008 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with her Pastor David Dressler officiating. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery. The family will provide the flowers.
