Obituary of Mary Heater

Mary (Wilson) (Earl) Heater, age 77, of Covington, PA, passed away at her home Friday, June 20th, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was the wife of Melvin W. Heater. She was born January 5, 1931 in Pontiac, Michigan, a daughter of Lyman and Jeanne (Decker) Wilson. She had been employed at the A & P Plant in Horseheads, NY. Mary enjoyed playing bingo and casino slots, was a bowler for 29 years, an avid baseball fan of the Atlanta Braves, enjoyed Mansfield High School softball, and was an avid fan of her grandchildrens sports activities. Mary is survived by her husband, Melvin; children and their spouses, Darlene Gray of Athens, PA, Dawn McCartney of Athens, PA, Daniel (Darla) Earl of Sayre, PA, Bonnie (Allen Howe) Reynolds of Owego, NY, Georgia (Danny) Hawken of Elmira, NY, Susan (Bert) Godoy of Vestal, NY, Cindy (Dennis Riddell) Roupp of Randolph, NY, Penny (James) Rockett of Waverly, NY, Lugene (Donald) Chamberlain of Mansfield, PA; brothers, James Wilson of Canton, OH, Edward Wilson of Lodi, NY; two daughters-in-law, Joanne Earl and Sandy Earl; 24 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Charles Earl in 1988, three children, Kathleen Earl in 1952, Gary Skip Earl in 1996, Charles Earl in 2007, and a grandson, Charles Earl in 1997. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Dr. Morgan Woodworth officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Holiday, PA.
