Obituary of Estelle Sciss

Estelle Sciss, age 88, of Lawrenceville, PA, died Thursday, August 21, 2008 at her home. Estelle was born on June 26, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of William and Marie (Burk) Stanley. She was the wife of Salvadore Sciss, with whom she celebrated a 67th wedding anniversary on April 30th, 2008. Estelle was a homemaker who enjoyed yard sales, buying and selling real estate, cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Salvadore, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kathi Sciss of Lawrenceville, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Herb Shackleton of FL; a brother, Charles Stanley of PA; a sister, Peggy Folks of FL; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. to Noon at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Monday immediately following the visitation at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Sheldon Roblyer officiating.
