Obituary of Mazie E. Colegrove

Type Obit Here Mazie (Schoonover) Colegrove, 81, of Tioga, PA passed peacefully to our Lords Holy Kingdom Friday, August 11, 2006. She was born March 16, 1925 in Ansonia, PA. Mazie was a graduate of the Gaines High School. Mazie was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Agatha Schoonover; husband of 51 years, Harry J. Colegrove; two sons-in-law, Ralph Hunt and Leonard Troyan; and two great grandchildren, Emily and Nathan Colegrove; brother, Chester Schoonover. Mazie is survived by her children, Trudy Hunt, Mary Troyan, Harry Lee and Angie Colegrove, and Debra and James Button, all of Tioga, PA; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Mazie was a long time member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Tioga, PA. Through her years as a member, she served as a deacon, a teacher of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, also held just about every office of the United Presbyterian Womens Association. Mazie was an avid reader and a member of several clubs, Nifty Fifty, Elkland and Nelson Sr. Citizens, PA Republican Women, Ridge Runner Red Hat Society, Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club, and looked forward to going to her alumni banquet each year. Mazie truly enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends. She lived to get hugs and kisses from all the great grandchildren! She had a lot of love in her heart which she passed to everyone that knew her. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, August 13, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Monday, August 14, 2006 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with her daughter, Pastor Debra Button, and her grandson, Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
