Obituary of Lila J. Healey

Lila (Baker) Healey, age 63, of Lawrenceville, PA, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Born on September 5, 1950 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of Richard and Norma (Heater) Baker. Prior to her retirement, Lila was employed with Corning Glass Works in Fallbrook, NY, and was previously employed as a beautician. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Lila was first diagnosed with MS in 1972 and struggled with it for 40 years. When she first entered The Green Home, she became an active participant in the residents lives, often reading to them or assisting them in any way possible. Lila is survived by her husband, Patrick H. Healey; her parents, Richard and Norma (Heater) Baker of Lawrenceville, PA; a step-daughter, Justine Healey of Nelson, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Brenda Baker of Lecanto, FL and a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Donald Cramer of Lindley, NY; a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Kathy) Healey of Brookline, NH; a sister-in-law, Lucinda Healey of Parma Heights, OH; a mother and father-in-law, Betty and George Healey of Wellsboro, PA; two grandsons, Nathan Healey, Sean Sconyer and several nieces and nephews. Lila was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Baker in 1994. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA, and Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the East Lawrence Baptist Church, East Lawrence Road, Lawrence Twp., PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours on Saturday at 3:00 PM at the church with Rev's. Victor Perry and Eugene Charsky officiating.
