Obituary of Frederick Charles Stephens

Frederick Charles Stephens, Jr., age 82, of Tioga, PA, died Saturday, January 4, 2014, at his home. Frederick was born October 13, 1931 in New Jersey, a son of Frederick C. and Edith (Danielson) Stephens. He was survived by his wife of 26 years, Carol Anne (Sheeler) Stephens. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for the Morris County Road Department. Frederick enjoyed doing yard work. Frederick is survived by his wife, Carol; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick (Laura) Stephens, III of VA, William Stephens of Succasunna, NJ, Barry (Beverly) Stephens of Augusta, NJ; 2 step-sons, Dennis (Helen) Fox of Tioga, PA, Kenneth (Debbie) Fox of Doylestown, PA; a daughter, Tracy Makin of Dansville, PA; a step-daughter, Maryellen (Joe) Scarpone of Florida; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth (Kay) Stephens of Boonton, NJ; a sister, Gail Lawrence of Succasunna, NJ. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Mildred Stephens, Beatrice Donnelly and Bernice Hagar, and a step-brother, Michael George Fox. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
