Obituary of Lena Parker

Lena "Peg" Parker, age 91, of Blossburg, PA, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Born on July 5, 1922 in Corning, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Lena Leona (Bailey) Young. Lena was predeceased by her husband, Philip W. Parker in 1988. Lena is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Philip R. and Diane Parker of Blossburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Kenny Nickerson of Liberty; five grandchildren, , nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by a grandson, Roger Black, Jr. in November 2012, two sisters and one brother. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 12 Noon at the funeral chapel with Rev. Harry Colegrove officiating.
