Obituary of Stuart C. Jenkins

Stuart C. Jenkins, age 92, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Stuart was born April 24, 1922 in Rutland Twp., Tioga County, PA, a son of Earl and Hattie (Brown) Jenkins. He was the widow of Lorraine (Rought) Jenkins. Stuart worked as a heavy equipment operator for Armco from 1963 to 1977. He had owned and operated a sawmill. Stuart was a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church, enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger, gardening, mowing the lawn on his Ferguson tractor, cutting wood, and watching baseball. Stuart is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pam Jenkins of Mansfield, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and John Eck of Montoursville, PA; 3 grandchildren, Corey (Jenna) Jenkins, Steven (Janet) Smith, William R. (Heather) Smith; 6 great grandchildren, Paige Jenkins, Evan Smith, Emma Smith, William Smith, Skye Jenkins, Anna Jane Smith; a sister-in-law, Janet Jenkins of Roseville, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine; 2 brothers, Lester "Big Daddy" Jenkins, and Lewis Jenkins; a grandson, Cody Jenkins. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
