Obituary of John Edward Johnston

John Edward Johnston, age 52, of Morris, PA, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at his home. John was born October 5, 1961 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Thomas Merton and Beverley M. (Teed) Johnston. He was married to Shelly (Litzelman) Johnston. John was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed watching his children play sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, cutting firewood, making hay and keeping himself busy tinkering around the family farm and renovating the family homestead. John is survived by his wife, Shelly; 3 children; Melissa Johnston of Maine; Thomas Johnston of Morris, PA, Katie Johnston of Morris, PA; his father, Thomas Merton Johnston; 3 brothers and sister-in-law, Dalton (Roberta) Johnston, James (Barb Tom) Johnston, William (Lisa Gardner) Johnston; 2 sisters, Gloria (Randy Hurd) Merrick, Carol (Dennis) Mast. John was predeceased by his mother, Beverley M. Johnston in 2012. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
