Obituary of James Robert Vaughan

James "Robert" Vaughan, age 64, of Wellsboro, PA, senior pastor of Living Word Fellowship entered into his heavenly home on Monday, August 4, 2014 at his home. Born on September 20, 1949 in Greenwich, CT, he was the son of James Robert and Marguerite (McClenney) Vaughan. Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth (Jetter) Vaughan. Robert was the founding pastor of the Living Word Fellowship and was previously employed as an associate pastor in Massena, NY, and as a piano tuner. He was a musician specializing in wind and keyboard instruments which he used to passionately worship the Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, his precious church family at Living Word Fellowship, gardening, travelling and Debbie's special cats. In addition to Ruth, his beloved wife of 41 years, he is survived by his mother, Marguerite Vaughan residing in Westfield, PA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Wendy Vaughan of Charlotte, NC, Daniel and Elizabeth Vaughan of Pittsburgh, PA, David and Muneet Vaughan of Stratford-upon-Avon, England; two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah Vaughan of Wellsboro, PA, Jessica and Donald Donaldson of Charlotte, NC; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Penelope and Arthur Ashe of Ann Arbor, MI, Patricia and Albert Landry of Richmond, ME; his mother-in-law, Marguerite Jetter of New City, NY and four grandchildren, Ethan, Abigail, Benjamin and Carson. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Living Word Fellowship, 1285 Charleston Rd., Wellsboro, PA 16901. A celebration of his life will be held at the church on Thursday at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to the church.
