Obituary of Elizabeth S. Updyke
Elizabeth "Betty" S. Updyke, age 97, of Mansfield, PA died Friday, August 8, 2014 at Carleton Senior Care, Wellsboro, PA. Elizabeth was born March 28, 1917 in Clarence, PA, a daughter of Harry D. and Margaret L. (Lorrah) Ludwig. She worked at Mansfield University in the cafeteria.
Elizabeth is survived by 2 daughters, Michelle Smith of Elmira, NY, and Nedra (Gary) Loomis of Mansfield, PA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harland S. Borden; a daughter, Corinne Warren; 3 sons, Richard, Luverne and Donald Borden; 2 sisters, Dorothy Ross and Billie Smith.
In keeping with Elizabeth's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
