Obituary of Leora O. Starks

Leora "Tweet" Olive Colegrove Starks, age 92, of Mansfield, PA passed into eternity on Monday, August 18, 2014. She was the wife of the late Alvin Starks. They celebrated 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2008. She was born April 17, 1922 to Fred and Velma LeRoy Colegrove. She formerly worked at Billard's (Keystone) in Mansfield and retired from the Mansfield University?s housekeeping department. She enjoyed watching old western shows on tv, gardening and crocheting. She was a member of the Cherry Flats Baptist Church. Leora is survived by 4 sons, Gordon (Doreen) Starks of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Donald (Beverly) Starks of Covington, Roy (Eileen) Starks of Fredericksburg, TX, and John (Cheryl) Starks of Wellsboro; 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Den Colegrove, Edson (Tink) Colegrove; 3 sisters, Dorothy Day, twins ? Hilda Wheeler and Wilda Simmons; 2 grandsons, Bradley and Michael Starks. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, PA.
