Obituary of Edna Friends

Edna (Padgett) Friends, age 78, of Tioga, PA, died on Monday, January 5, 2015 in Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Edna was born on August 10, 1936. She was the daughter of Howard and Blanche (Applebee) Padgett. Edna was predeceased by her parents and husband, Robert F. Friends. Edna was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Life Church in Corning, NY. Edna enjoyed baking and taking care of children. She loved birds, flowers, and spending time with her friends and family. Edna is survived by a son, Charles E. Friends of Westfield, PA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Donna Padgett, Edward and Debbie Padgett, Dick and Sylvia Padgett; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a luncheon at 12 PM with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 1 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Christian Life Church, 2355 Bailey Creek Road, Corning, NY, with Pastor John Bagg officiating.
